The construction of the prototype of the Nose Cone Calorimeter (NCC) of
the experiment PHENIX (BNL) is presented. The possibility of the silicon
detectors channels galvanic interconnection is discussed. The beam test was
carried out at the U-70 accelerator of the Institute for High Energy Physics,
Protvino, Russia. The data was acquired during the 50 GeV proton run and
10 GeV positron run. The experimental results of the beam test and Monte-
Carlo (GEANT3.21) data are presented.
