Diffractive production of D^{*+-} (2010) mesons in deep inelastic scattering has been investigated. Diffractive events have been identified by the presence of a large rapidity gap in the finale state. The diffractive cross section has been found to be 512+-42(stat)^{+26}_{-72)(syst)^{+56)_{42} pb, what is 6%% of the inclusive cross section of D^* production.
