Elucidation of the oxidative processes leading to the damage of
the proportional drift tubes of the ATLAS TRT detector was developed.
Analysis of the key elements of the oxidative processes arising
spontaneously and activating in photo irradiation has done. The laboratory
method preventing development of destructive processes in the proportion
drift tuves of the ATLAS TRT detector has been proposed.
